Has anybody experimented with docker on Labrador? Any recommended base images? How would we do the cross compiling?
Hi Ulrich,
I just tried to install & run docker on the Labrador and I ran across some problems, apparently because of missing drivers. Tested on Core Board V2.1 with kernel 4.14.13 and debian 10.
Here is what I tried:
- Follow the official install guide: https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/debian/
- The install command,
sudo apt-get install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io
, fails with a generic error. - Running
sudo dockerd --debug
print several lines and then crashes withfailed to start daemon: Error initializing network controller: error obtaining controller instance: failed to create NAT chain DOCKER: iptables failed: iptables --wait -t nat -N DOCKER: iptables v1.8.2 (nf_table s): CHAIN_ADD failed (No such file or directory): chain PREROUTING
. - Run the
check-config.sh
script linked in this issue against Labrador’s defconfig on github, which had the following output:
info: reading kernel config from caninos_labrador_defconfig(backup) ...

I followed the same docker installation guide for Debian using the labrador 64 bits core v3.1 with the image located at labrador lab64_v0.8.7z repository and run successfully.
